Although they had just experienced the strange phenomenon of being unable to control their bodies and the Silver Moon replacing the Crimson Moon, most ordinary people stopped caring once they realized it had no effect on their lives. The tavern therefore remained as lively as ever.
Ascetic Wood, seasoned Sailor Wim, Captain Gray, First Mate Old Kerton, and Boatswain Palwei, who had only recently arrived in Enmat Harbor, sat around a round table, gulping down Southville Beer to ease the "fright" caused by their earlier experience.
Even Wood was no exception.
Though he had once been a "professional monk," that had been in his previous life, and many of the precepts no longer needed to be observed.
The group did not talk much. Instead, they all pricked up their ears, hoping to hear the drunkards at the neighboring table discussing the recent mystical incident.
After all, this tavern sometimes hosted Beyonder trading gatherings, and quite a few Beyonders came and went here.
