As Abner explained the different traits of Dead Spirits, Xio sat on the edge of the bed, nodding frequently and taking a bite of a golden-brown croissant.

The Mental Piercing ability she had gained as an Interrogator could attack spirits directly. She simply hadn't known much about Dead Spirits before, and that had given one an opening.
