Sefirah Castle... What exactly did Baron Kangwa encounter in that ancient castle?

I remember that the source of the Underworld Contamination was the Chaos Sea, the Sefirah corresponding to the five Pathways of Omnipotence and Omniscience...

So the baron was contaminated by the Sefirah and gained a great deal of knowledge?

But in the original story, Xio and Fors nearly died just from indirect contact. How did Baron Kangwa gain all that knowledge without going completely mad?

What was special about him? Did his ancestor, who slumbered in the Underworld, help him? Or did he encounter something unusual beyond that door in the castle?

Apart from the Ancient Sun God and Amon, the only being I know of that came from the Chaos Sea is Arrodes...

Could Baron Kangwa have encountered Arrodes's earlier form beyond that door?

I remember the Simp Mirror once told Klein that it only gained true consciousness after reaching the surface and becoming a mirror. It had virtually no memories from before that.

What state was it in before then, and how did it leave the Chaos Sea? The original story never said... Could the baron have brought it out from behind that "door"?

If the baron really did encounter Arrodes's earlier form beyond the castle's underground door, as I suspect, that would explain why the knowledge he gained included Sefirah Castle...
