"April 2. Given the recent turmoil in the kingdom, the rebellions springing up everywhere, and the rampant activity of foreign spies and mysterious organizations in Trier, I've decided to reorganize the kingdom's intelligence services. I'll draw out some of their best people to form a new department under my direct command...

"Hmm. This new department needs a good name, something that sounds imposing the moment you hear it... I've got it. I'll call it the Men in Black.

"Lastly, I have to thank the Savant Potion. Without it, there's no way I'd remember how to write the characters for 'rampant' right now. I might have had to resort to Chinese phonetic spelling."

"April 3. I met Florent and pitched him my plan to build my own team using the kingdom's intelligence services, though I phrased it as something that would benefit the kingdom. The fool believed me and gave me his authorization.

"That fellow is always boasting about how much he resembles his great-great-grandfather. Was his great-great-grandfather, that former High Sequence powerhouse, just as stupid?"

After reading the page, Abner took a sip of black tea and thought, Men in Black? That name's actually terrible luck... Why not call them the Avengers Alliance or the Guardians of the Galaxy?

Judging by Roselle's gradual takeover of Intis's intelligence services, along with what else I know, this diary entry must be from over a century ago, before that famous upheaval in Intis.

The outcome was clearly recorded in history textbooks. Roselle had ultimately quelled the rebellion as a colonel, then seized the chance to stage a coup. He turned the Intis Kingdom into a republic and appointed himself consul.

Over the next nineteen years, he reformed the legal code, encouraged invention, and supported the Industrial Revolution, greatly strengthening the nation. He campaigned
