"'Doctor Strange'?" Dunn gave Abner a few puzzled looks before nodding. "A classic character from Emperor Roselle's Hero Series novels... I must say, you look very much like the emperor's description..."

"Perhaps I'm someone who walked right out of Roselle's novels?" Abner smiled and joked.

Having studied Roselle's various sayings and writings ever since his transmigration, Abner naturally already knew about the so-called Hero Series. Otherwise, he would never have dared give his alias that name.

After all, neither the Goddess nor that Russian priest would be unfamiliar with superhero names. Without Roselle to lend him cover, revealing his alias would probably put him on those two's radar immediately.

Speaking of which, although Roselle's Hero Series was a series of novels, he had only written three installments: Doctor Strange, Iron Man, and Hulk. Perhaps because their imagination was too far ahead of its time, these three novels hadn't been particularly popular over a hundred years ago. Their influence was nowhere near that of The Earl Returns, which he had plagiarized from The Count of Monte Cristo.

It was only in the past decade or so that these three novels had found new life, with many people hailing them as classics... though they remained niche.

Poor sales might have been why Roselle hadn't continued the Hero Series... Of course, church intervention was an even likelier explanation. After all, to make the stories fit this world's reality, Roselle had drastically altered many plotlines and included some seemingly plausible Beyonder knowledge.

Abner had chosen this name as his alias because he had also considered that acting as a Polymath might require something like "fame"... With a classic character as his hook, becoming "famous" would be relatively easier.
