Abner did not tell Roselle and the others right away. He let them search for the "entrance" while he made the most of the time to analyze the powers of "Distortion" and "Chaos."

Roselle was enthusiastic at first, but after several fruitless hours, his spirits waned. He lost interest in the search and came over to chat with Abner instead.

"Our Doctor Strange, you've been standing here for a while... Have you found something?" Roselle asked with a smile.

Abner had been waiting for that very question. Acting as a Polymath required someone else to ask him first, and since this Roselle had spirit, he could theoretically provide feedback on Abner's Acting.

"As it happens, I found something interesting." Abner pointed to a fairly flat stone not far in front of him. "Try standing there."

Roselle clearly had a reckless streak at this stage of his life. He jumped straight onto the stone, seemingly unconcerned that Abner might use the opportunity to harm him.
