Abner was surprised, but on second thought, he figured this was probably his fault.

He had activated the Death Gate Ritual so suddenly that it was only natural for the Blue Avenger to be drawn in before it could react.

Satisfied with that explanation, Abner prepared to slip into the water and leave the area. He had no intention of going over to say hello. There were outsiders aboard Alger's ship, after all, so it was no place to meet him as The Tower.

But just as he neared the surface, he spotted something round wearing a naval officer's cap—
