After "flying" into the vortex, Abner had no time to look around before his vision blurred. A magnificent temple built from enormous blocks of crystal appeared before him.

The temple stood in deep darkness. Beyond its towering pillars and impossibly high dome, something terrifying seemed to be gathering. A single glance was enough to make his skin crawl.

"Strange... Besides the darkness, it feels a little like the Book of the Dead... Did the God of Luck consume some other bizarre characteristic too?"

Abner muttered to himself, then looked around. Latitia and her companions, whom he had followed in, were nowhere to be seen. After a moment's thought, he formed a guess: the temple's trials were conducted separately. He probably would not meet the two Investigators again until he had completed them all.

Of course, once they met, a fight would probably break out at once...

He drew a silent breath, slowly pushed open the door standing ajar before him, and entered the crystal temple.

Inside, the first thing Abner saw was a deep corridor with no end in sight.

Many glowing crystals were set into the wall on one side, lighting the entire corridor like a row of little suns. The other wall bore vivid, brightly colored murals. Joined without gaps, they resembled a continuous strip of film telling an ancient story.
