After examining the so-called "privileges," Abner spent the few points he had left from acquiring the Escape Talisman to place a sofa in the empty Reward Room. He settled into it comfortably and began receiving his reward for the fifth floor.
Soon, an aged-looking scroll of parchment and a red-covered diary appeared in his hands.
Abner unrolled the parchment with some anticipation. Sure enough, it contained the complete formula for the Mysticism Mentor he needed:
"Main ingredients: one heart from an Adult Gem Dragon, or the complete brain of a Finks Lion plus one Brilliant Five-Colored Stone.
"Supplementary ingredients: ten ordinary leaves from a Treefolk Mentor, eighty milliliters of Finks Lion blood, one petal of each of the Dragonblood Five-Colored Flower's five colors, and ten milliliters of water from the Lenburg Fountain of Wisdom.
"Ritual: Consume the potion under the gaze of an Adult Mind Dragon, or while receiving Soothing, Intimidation, and Suggestion from a Spectator Pathway Beyonder who is at least a Dreamwalker."
A Brilliant Five-Colored Stone? I remember reading that it's excellent for Protection-type ritual magic. There are several stones like that set into the ceiling of the main hall of Aurmir Palace in the Feysac Empire... Not that I could possibly pry them out.
Still, at least that's a lead.
As for the other supplementary ingredients, ordinary leaves from a Treefolk Mentor shouldn't be hard to get. They were on the little Sun's list of materials.
Finks Lion blood will have to wait for news from the Pale Admiral, just like its brain. I hope she can find them for me soon.
The Dragonblood Five-Colored Flower is expensive, but it's a fairly common plant material in Lenburg, Masik, and Segar. It appears at trade gatherings from time to time, so it shouldn't be hard to obtain.
