Upon arriving once more at the ancient palace Above the Gray Fog, Abner and Xio had barely taken their seats when they saw Mr. Fool at the head of the long table tap its edge with his finger. Then, scene after scene depicting the slave trader Capim's "evil deeds" was displayed before them.
Scenes of newly abducted girls crying and screaming in underground cells;
Scenes of numb, half-naked girls crawling about to serve alcoholic drinks to the so-called "important figures" colluding with Capim, such as the Deputy Chief of the Police Department and members of the House of Commons;
Scenes of them being beaten, cursed at, and toyed with at will, or dragged directly to some secluded place to be ravaged;
And scenes of Harras, Berris, Katie, and Parker appearing one after another later on, briefly displaying their respective abilities...
After watching all that, not only did the justice-minded Xio abruptly rise to her feet, but even Abner, who had long known this "plot," truly felt that Capim and his ilk deserved to die!
The words in a book simply could not compare to the impact of those scenes... To the point that Abner secretly decided to "increase his investment" in this matter, preferably wiping out all those bastards.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Fool... Please forgive my loss of composure..." Xio took a deep breath, sat back down, and apologized to Mr. Fool at the head of the table.
