In the ancient palace above the gray fog, Klein woke from his dream. Seated at the head of the Bronze Long Table, he eagerly turned over the transparent dagger that seemed to be made of a dozen or so bright stars strung together.
"I didn't expect it to be a High Sequence item, much less one made from the Beyonder Characteristics of two Pathways." Klein set the dagger on the table and sighed.
Apart from the Sealed Artifact "0-08," which he had used in the Dream Labyrinth, and the Azik Copper Whistle, whose only use was summoning a Messenger and whose side effect was "attracting" Dead Spirits, this was the first other High Sequence item he had seen. Naturally, he was curious.
Through the Dream Divination he had just performed, Klein had gained a general understanding of the Mystical Item's functions.
It had five main abilities.
First were the "Edicts" Recorded in its dozen or so bright stars.
By channeling Spirituality into a "star" on the dagger, the user could release its Edict. Its power was comparable to a Ninth Law charm.
A star that had released its Edict would Record another one a day later, with the user choosing its effect.
If the user made no choice, it would randomly Record an Edict it had released before.
Second, a target who violated an Edict released by the dagger would be Exiled to the coordinates Recorded in the corresponding star.
The user could set those coordinates in advance, but they could not be more than 1,000 kilometers from the dagger.
Third, carving a "door" with the dagger anywhere allowed someone who stepped through it to undergo a Random Teleportation.
