In the Forsaken Land of the Gods, during a "day" of frequent lightning, the exploration team finally returned to the City of Silver.

Looking at the city walls, where weeds grew thick in every crack, Derrick felt dazed, as though he had been gone for years.

Behind him and to one side, "Demon Hunter" Colin Iliad's eyes suddenly clouded with bewilderment. He raised a hand and pressed his right temple.

While the other team members felt genuine joy and relief, the chief took a gear book of intricate mechanical beauty from his pocket.

Derrick had handed it over to him earlier, when the team reported what they had brought back from the expedition.

Now Colin remembered where the book had come from. He also remembered everything that had happened during the repeated "loops," and naturally began to take the Gear Book, which could ignore the Angel of Fate's power, seriously.

The Fallen Star... Is this book what the being behind Derrick needs?

He handed it to me of his own accord... Was that a gesture of goodwill, or does he have another motive?

Colin watched Derrick's back for a while, then looked away. He had made up his mind.

A day later, after resting briefly at home, Derrick Berg went out and headed toward the Twin Towers.

He wanted to look through the library's historical records on the Sanguine so he could show Mr. Moon that the City of Silver's accounts were the correct ones.

He made his way to the spire, climbed to the third floor, and entered the library.
