Through Visual Synchronization, Green saw everything clearly. He frowned as he watched the vortex.

After absorbing the man's soul, the vortex vanished. Almost at the same instant, another grievously wounded person nearby died. An identical white vortex appeared above him and swallowed his soul in a flash.

The ground beneath them trembled faintly. The earth under the corpse seemed to melt, and the body slowly sank into it...

In less than three minutes, the ground had swallowed every corpse. Not even a drop of blood remained.

"After someone dies, their soul gets sucked away, and this space devours their body too?" Green pondered in silence. He was beginning to understand: this was an enormous Sacrificial Space. The flesh and souls of every living creature that died here would be absorbed by it.

Wadney reactivated Shadow Camouflage and pressed on. He followed the path Dong Bosi had opened for another four hundred meters before finally reaching its end.

Beyond the unnaturally overgrown grass lay a vast Square. Dong Bosi and the others were there.

At the center of the Square stood a stone platform half a meter high. A hooded figure in a green robe stood on it. Judging by the robe, he was probably a Nature Church Priest.

Using Shadow Camouflage, Wadney crept forward and hid at the edge of the Square to watch.

The moment Dong Bosi saw the green-robed figure, he walked toward him without hesitation, an indescribable expression on his face. The two Anomalies Bureau colleagues beside him seemed to sense something was wrong and retreated a few wary steps. But the Knights Order officer who had known Dong Bosi for years still hadn't grasped the situation. He reached out to pull Dong Bosi back and shouted, "Careful! That man's with the Nature Church...
