Chaos in the City

Green was not stirring up trouble out of boredom. Even without Selina and Freya, he had planned to make a move soon, giving the Holy Light Church an excuse to station more forces in Friedenburg City and keep Director Nikolayevich of the Anomalies Bureau occupied.

Green could sense that Nikolayevich was deeply wary of those who had survived Faerun City. Partly, the man had something to hide. But he also had sharp instincts: too much of what had happened back then seemed coincidental, as though someone behind the scenes had been steering events.

Green had no wish to draw attention to himself yet. He wanted to stay inside the Anomalies Bureau and quietly build his strength. To stop Director Nikolayevich from watching his own people so closely, he needed to give him a powerful enemy.

At present, only the Holy Light Church had enough power in the Lorenzo Kingdom to give a High Legendary who controlled the Anomalies Bureau in Northwest Province cause for concern.

The Dietrich Family, once the dominant force in Northwest Province, was doing its best to recover. With the joint support of several great families in the Kingdom, it was regaining strength quickly. But in the short term, it could no longer challenge the Anomalies Bureau and Saint Tower Academy's firm grip on the province.

The Nature Church had been utterly destroyed. The Blood Eye and the Tower of Yin Spirits were minor organizations that could only count themselves lucky if the Anomalies Bureau and Saint Tower Academy left them alone.
