Clang! The bullet from the Dragon-Hunting Rifle struck the Bone Shield Green had raised the instant he emerged from Shadow Flash. Without time to lock on and charge the shot, it lacked power. It barely broke through the shield before lodging deep in the thick bone.
Green frowned. The Bone Shield's defense disappointed him. A casual shot had nearly punched straight through it.
Delstad seized the chance to leap more than ten meters away, then turned and fired twice more.
