Divine Calamity

Green had never witnessed a Divine War, but a clash between Deities was bound to send out terrifying waves of divine power. Even hiding in the Spirit World would not guarantee his safety. He immediately used Spirit World Traversal, and an instant later, he appeared inside a country villa more than twenty kilometers outside Landon City.

Green had set a spacetime anchor there in advance. It let him return from the Spirit World whenever he wished, rather than lose himself in its vast, eerie reaches.

He had placed several other spacetime anchors like it around Landon City.

Standing outside the city, Green looked in the direction the two red beams had flown. A powerful presence was racing toward them from far away.

Above Landon City, Akara's body was already wrapped in thick black radiance so dense it seemed solid. She rose slowly from a height of just over a hundred meters to a thousand. Ordinary people in the city could no longer see her figure or the black aura once they vanished into the clouds. Only Transcendents of Formal Rank or above could still sense that suffocating presence.

After Akara rose high into the sky, the black radiance surrounding her began to surge. It gathered once more into a complete, colossal human figure over a hundred meters tall.

This time, however, it was not the imposing warrior goddess from before. It was a woman whose face could not be made out, her form flickering in and out of sight. Her long hair, formed from black aura, drifted slowly, some strands trailing beneath the clouds. A few curious citizens still gazing upward saw them. Pain stabbed through their eyes. They screamed and clapped their hands over their faces, but streams of black blood soon poured through the gaps between their fingers.
