Green looked down at Suzune through the Death Angel and said hoarsely, "How about it? Let's work together and take him down first."
"Fine!" Suzune agreed without hesitation, though her face remained cold and unreadable.
The black-clad Assassin frowned. Without a moment's hesitation, his figure flickered and vanished. Faced with the threat of death, he had come to his senses; he had no intention of charging in blindly.
Green did not pursue him. If a High-Level Legendary Transcendent was determined to flee, even three opponents of the same level would struggle to kill him.
Green had managed to surround and kill the black-clad Assassin last time, forcing him to use an item that brought him back to life, chiefly because they had caught him off guard. They had badly wounded him before he realized the danger, then closed in together, gave him no opening, and killed him in one stroke.
This time, the black-clad Assassin's mindset had changed. The moment he saw things turning against him, he took to his heels. Unless a Calamity Rank powerhouse intervened, or two more High-Level Legendary fighters joined the assault, there was little hope of killing him for good.
So when Green saw the black-clad Assassin escape, he made no grand show of giving chase. Instead, he had the Death Angel land before Suzune.
Suzune sheathed her twin swords and looked up at the fully armored metal angel. She could sense Green's soul within the Death Angel.
"Though I hate to admit it, I still have to thank you for your help." Suzune gave an elegant curtsy.
The Death Angel's soul fire flickered. Green, dressed in a colonel's uniform, appeared before the Death Angel, smiling as he returned the courtesy. "It was an honor to be of service, my beautiful lady."
Seeing Green appear
