After more than four hours of surgery under general anesthesia, he woke on the operating table in the Laboratory. His body ached, but the constant distortion of his soul and consciousness that he had felt since becoming a Modified Human was almost gone!
Rondok had no way of knowing what the Skeleton King had done to him during those hours of unconsciousness, but for now, the results seemed good.
A rare, genuine smile appeared on Rondok's face. He had not felt this light in a long time.
