The flamboyantly dressed young man looked down at the squirrel from above. Without a word, he raised his foot and brought it down hard on the squirrel's tiny body.
The squirrel shrieked and tried to flee in another direction, but the young man moved too quickly. He pinned it beneath his foot and grinned maliciously. "Where do you think you're going, little fellow? You think you can get away after I've seen you?"
He pressed down with his metal battle boot. With a squelch, the squirrel burst.
Blood and filth from its belly splashed across his boot. Frowning, he scraped it against the ground, then turned his attention to the iron ball that had rolled away.
The ball was smeared with blood. Apparently unwilling to dirty his hands, the young man caught it from a distance and held it suspended above his palm, then wreathed it in flames.
The heat instantly dried the blood. The remaining residue burned to powder and fell away, leaving only the iron ball. Only then did he let it drop into his hand.
"Heh, Morrigan, you arrogant bastard. Who would have thought you'd end up in my hands?" The young man sneered. He had evidently witnessed the middle-aged man's ordeal and recognized him.
"You stupid old fool. I knew you'd overreach sooner or later," the young man gloated. "I just didn't expect it to happen so soon. The Divine War hasn't even begun, and you're already finished. But that's fine. It was bound to happen eventually, so I might as well give you a hand."
As he spoke, layers of a Seal formed from countless tiny Magic Runes appeared around the iron ball, wrapping it tight. Then he flicked his hand and sent it flying to some unknown place.
"There. His Majesty the Sky God
