Just then, a cleric rushed in, flustered. "Your Highness, Void World 37 has fallen!"
Archbishop Link and Archbishop Phipas were both stunned.
"How? Archbishop Nanster Wigan was guarding it. How could Void World 37 fall without any warning?" Phipas asked, disbelief written all over his face.
Nanster was one of the Holy Light Church's ten strongest archbishops. He also wielded a Divine Artifact, and at full strength, he was no weaker than Archbishop Link.
More importantly, Void World 37 was not the Main Battlefield. The Sea God's army attacking it had no Saint Spirit Rank fighters.
With Nanster's strength, he could not possibly have lost so quickly.
Archbishop Link's face darkened. "Did Nanster Wigan surrender?"
The cleric froze, surprise flashing through his eyes. Archbishop Link had guessed it!
"Y-yes, Your Highness. Archbishop Nanster Wigan... er, he betrayed the Holy Light." Realizing he should no longer have called Nanster Wigan an archbishop, the cleric hurriedly lowered his head.
Archbishop Link did not fly into a rage. He seemed to have expected this. With a faint wave of his hand, he said, "I understand. You may go."
"Yes, Your Highness!" The cleric hurried out, relieved to be dismissed.
"Nanster Wigan. So you really were one of theirs," Archbishop Link murmured. Then he turned to Phipas. "Good. We leave now for Void World 37!"
