More than ten minutes later, an earth-shaking BOOM rang out as a red beam carrying the power to destroy heaven and earth descended from the sky.
Princess Mulesina's towering castle took the brunt of it. A translucent veil of light appeared around the fortress.
It was the castle's magical defense, normally strong enough to withstand bombardment from heavy fortress guns without budging. Now it tore apart like a sheet of paper.
The red beam swallowed the castle. Dozens of seconds later, it vanished, leaving a circular hole in the ground so deep its bottom could not be seen.
Then an explosive force erupted beneath the hole. The ground bulged high into the air before the upheaval spread outward, reaching more than a hundred kilometers away...
At the sight, everyone's heart sank. This was no way to fight a war. As long as that behemoth remained, they could not mass their forces. The moment they assembled an army, another strike like that would send them all to their deaths for nothing.
"We have to destroy that warship, or..." Princess Mulesina understood that the Strategic Cruiser was the key to this war. But how could they sink such a colossal vessel?
