Long Ye faced three opponents alone.

They were the Raikage, the Kazekage, and Danzo.

The Raikage had taken a serious blow. He could still fight, but he could not bring even seventy percent of his strength to bear. And though he had a fiery temper, he was no fool.

He had never had a conflict of interest with this organization's leader. Sunagakure and Konoha did. If anyone should be doing the fighting, it was those two.

Yet things had not turned out that way. Both had held back without making a move from start to finish. Konoha's Hokage had not even come, sending only Danzo in his place, while the Raikage himself had paid a heavy price.

He could not help feeling used.

Besides, his injuries made it unwise to keep fighting. If he took another punch by accident, he would end up no better off than the Tsuchikage.

"You two, I let my guard down and took a punch from him. I'm injured, and my strength has suffered. I shouldn't fight any longer today. But I'm sure the two of you can take him down without me."

With that, the Raikage turned and left with his men, paying no heed to the alarm on Danzo's and the Kazekage's faces.

Damn him!

Danzo's gaze darkened, but he swallowed his anger.

The man was the Raikage, after all, and represented Kumogakure. Its strength rivaled Konoha's, if not surpassed it. A careless remark could spark a conflict between the two lands.

Seeing the Raikage leave without a fight, the Kazekage felt an urge to withdraw as well.

The main problem was the terrain.

His Magnet Release: Gold Dust was most powerful in the desert, where it could even suppress Shukaku. But they were not in the Land of Wind, much less Sunagakure.
