The barren island was riddled with lakes of every shape and size, bubbling like boiling water under the heat of the magma underground.
Layers of white crystals coated the surrounding coast, forming a distinctive white beach as the crashing waves washed over them again and again.
As the sky began to brighten and the sun rose above the sea, something appeared.

On the bow deck, the strong sea breeze buffeted Golden Lion's imposing frame, making his cloak flutter and snap.
Behind Shiki stood his only two remaining subordinates: the ship's doctor, Dr. Indigo, and his pet gorilla, Scarl.
