Nami found it strange. She had only slept for one night, so why did it feel as though everything had changed?
On the merchant ship's deck, under everyone's watchful eyes, she looked at Luffy, who was grinning foolishly while hugging a chest, then at the fierce-looking green-haired swordsman covered in bandages, and asked in bewilderment.
"What happened? Where's that pink-haired guy, Koby? And who's this moss-head?"
"You idiot woman, who are you calling moss-head..."
The moss-headed swordsman immediately roared in fury.
But the moment he struggled, his injuries twisted his face in pain.
Seeing this, Nami no longer felt as nervous as before.
Merry hurriedly tried to calm him down.
"Mr. Zoro, please don't get worked up, or your wounds will split open."
"Zoro?!"
Hearing that name, Nami was startled.
"This is Pirate Hunter Zoro? What exactly happened? Why is he on our ship?"
Only then did Merry explain.
"Mr. Luffy and Mr. Zoro defeated Morgan. Mr. Zoro has now become Mr. Luffy's companion. As for Mr. Koby, he joined the Marines!"
"Huh?!"
Nami was startled again. Then her expression changed drastically as she said in panic.
"Oh no, the Marines won't know those two have anything to do with us, will they?"
"Don't worry, Miss Nami!"
Merry hurriedly reassured her.
"Because Mr. Luffy and Mr. Zoro helped the villagers and the Marines defeat Morgan, the Marines agreed not to reveal what happened today as thanks to them."
"Is that so?"
Nami thought it over. Though she still felt uneasy, she ultimately had no choice but to nod.
"Huh, I guess that's all we can do! Then what's with that chest? Why does it look so familiar..."
Merry gave an awkward smile.
"It's like this. Since Morgan was defeated, we won't have to pay him so much protection money anymore.
