Once Dazhen had gone, Buggy patted his chest and chuckled. "Good thing I'm such a brilliant actor. Otherwise, I might not have convinced him!"

While the whole world discussed the Blood Sword Pirates' feat of destroying Enies Lobby, Ryan and his companions arrived in the birdless Calm Belt.

The Calm Belt stretched along both sides of the Grand Line, enclosing it between them. There was no wind or current in these waters, and the sea was perfectly still.

Most ships in the Pirate World relied on sails for power. Once a sailing ship entered the Calm Belt, it lost all momentum and became stranded. For pirates, it was a dangerous stretch of sea that was nearly impossible to cross.

Even the birds commonly seen elsewhere were rare here. Without wind to help them, ordinary birds could not fly out of the Calm Belt.

Only Giant Sea Kings lurked in the depths below.

For ordinary pirates, this place was extremely dangerous. For Ryan as he was now, it was paradise.

Every Giant Sea King was a source of Attribute Points that could make him stronger.

Still, Ryan planned to take care of his business first and return for them later. Whether he came or not, the Sea Kings would still be there.
