The night on Amazon Lily was exceptionally quiet. Apart from the occasional roar of Ferocious Beasts, there were no other sounds. The Kuja Warriors had also returned to their homes to rest, leaving only a scattered few to stand watch.
There was no need to worry about a sudden enemy attack here, because this was the Calm Belt. Aside from the Ferocious Beasts on the island, there was no trace of any other humans.
After taking a stroll around Amazon Lily, Ryan accompanied Robin aboard the Soaring Dragon.
Beli had already gone to rest, so Ryan could only pilot the Soaring Dragon himself as it flew into the distance. He could tell that Robin needed a relatively quiet environment.
"Ryan, come with me and take a look at that place!"
The Soaring Dragon hovered in midair.
The punishment chamber reeked. The air was filled with the stench of the two men's excrement and blood. At this point, other than their heads, not a single part of Spandine and his son's bodies remained intact; only white bones exposed at the surface remained.
If one looked closely, one would discover that Spandine and his son were actually smiling. In their final moments before death, what they felt was not pain or fear of life slipping away, but relief.
One could only imagine how terrifying the torture they had suffered in life had been.
Robin merely glanced at them before walking out. The people who had destroyed Ohara and pressed that fatal button were dead.
Yet she felt no exhilaration at having avenged her great grievance.
Instead, she felt hollow inside as endless emptiness washed over her. At that moment, she desperately wanted someone to lean on.
"Ryan, lend me your shoulder."
The two of them went to sit at the bow.
