"You dare hurt my subordinate? You're courting death!" Akainu was a man of swift action. After glancing at Onigumo's injuries, he charged straight at Hawkeye.

Hawkeye showed no weakness. He had been looking for a powerful opponent to test the results of his recent progress.
And Akainu, as a Marine Admiral, was clearly a good choice.
