"Big oaf!" Kid shouted anxiously when he saw Akainu's punch bore straight through Jozu.
Among the Whitebeard Pirates, Jozu was the only one Kid was close to. He had a bad temper, and very few people could put up with him.
It could be said that aside from the Blood Sword Pirates, Jozu was Kid's best friend, even though Jozu often beat him up before.
Yet now, Jozu seemed to be dead.
"Jozu, you... you... don't die!" Whitebeard said in a trembling voice as he watched Jozu's aura suddenly plummet.
Jozu looked at Pops and used every ounce of strength in his body to force out a faint smile. Before dying, he wanted to leave Whitebeard with his finest appearance. But because of the pain ravaging his body and the sheer effort it took, that smile looked somewhat savage.
Whitebeard watched as Jozu's pupils suddenly dilated, then gradually lost their focus and turned utterly gray. The hands gripping his arm also became icy cold, stripped of all warmth.
Dead!
Jozu was dead!
"Pfft!"
Overwhelmed by grief, Whitebeard spat out a mouthful of blood. A rare flush appeared on his face.
Whitebeard felt power surge through his body, and a cruel, crazed smile appeared on his face.
He knew his physical condition well. He knew this state could only last for one minute. So he turned his gaze toward Akainu behind Jozu.
"Magma brat!"
That icy voice made Zephyr, Hawkeye, and the others shudder inwardly.
Whitebeard moved, seizing Akainu in an instant. His right fist crashed down, and the fist coated in Conqueror's Haki beat Akainu until he coughed up blood without end.
Akainu hurriedly transformed his entire body into magma, but how could Whitebeard let such an opportunity go? He grabbed Akainu's head with one hand as a sphere of
