Aokiji, Garp, Akainu, Zephyr, Kizaru, Sengoku—and the Wind Swordsman, who still hadn't made a move and was watching from the sidelines. Three against seven. This was going to be tough!
Still, one thing gave Ryan some comfort: the Marines were more badly injured than his side, and their fighting strength had dropped considerably.
Of course, that didn't include Kizaru!
"Two-Sleeved Green Snake!" Ryan struck while Sengoku and the others were distracted. Two streams of green sword energy burst from him, swiftly merging into a dragon-shaped slash that hurtled toward Aokiji and Akainu.
The attack immediately took the pressure off Fujitora.
Aokiji and Akainu had been surrounding him.
"Not bad, but that move of yours is missing something!" Whitebeard said as he watched Ryan attack. Ryan had used only simple Basic Swordsmanship in his fight with Zephyr, so this was Whitebeard's first real look at his swordsmanship. Back on Water 7, everyone had already been brought to their knees by the time Whitebeard arrived.
Missing something?
Ryan faltered. Did that old man Whitebeard know swordsmanship too?
But he soon understood. Whitebeard might not have been a master swordsman, but he certainly had a keen eye. Roger, Golden Lion, Rayleigh, Oden—every one of them was a master swordsman. Whitebeard was qualified to judge.
At Whitebeard's words, Ryan moved to Fujitora's side to fight alongside him. As for Sengoku, Garp, and Kizaru?
He would leave them to Whitebeard. Otherwise, Fujitora might die here today under the combined assault of Zephyr, Akainu, and Aokiji.
Between Whitebeard and Fujitora, Ryan chose Fujitora without a moment's hesitation.
With Ryan joining him, Fujitora finally had room to breathe. Strong as he was, he wasn't Whitebeard. He couldn't withstand three of them together. In truth, even Whitebeard in normal circumstances couldn't have done it.
