Holy Land, Mary Geoise, was the location of the World Government headquarters and the home of the Celestial Dragons, the World Nobles. Ever since the World Government was established by the Twenty Kings 800 years ago, Mary Geoise had been viewed by many as a pure land untouched by the smoke of war.
Nestled at the very peak of the Red Line, Mary Geoise had become the safest place in the world, with no one ever daring to attempt a challenge against its majesty.
Yet today, a group of audacious people had arrived, marking the first time in 800 years that anyone had launched a formal challenge against the World Government and the Celestial Dragons, who styled themselves the World Nobles.
Looking up at the towering Red Line, Ryan could not help marveling at how Tiger had managed to climb it bare-handed back then, as it was simply too high and perilous.
Soon, Golden Lion steered the ship to Mary Geoise. Gazing at the brightly lit place ahead, everyone knew that once they crossed the ravine before them, they would be right at the residences of the Celestial Dragons.
The objective of this trip is to rescue the slaves in the hands of the Celestial Dragons, and to withdraw immediately after the rescue! Make sure you don't forget everything else when the time comes! Having said that, Ryan even glared specifically at Hawkeye.
After all, Hawkeye was a thorough battle maniac; if he encountered a preferred opponent, he probably wouldn't run even if the sky were falling.
"Let's move!" Leading the way with Buggy, Ryan took the initiative, and the rest closely followed.
A team of patrolling soldiers caught sight of Ryan and the others rapidly approaching the castle and cried out in shock, "Who goes there!"
Yet before they could even make out Ryan's face, they were finished off by a few sword strikes from Ryan. Because Ryan's attack speed was too fast, the soldiers died without even feeling the pain, and one of them even had the fortune of seeing his own decapitated body right before dying.
The soldiers' cries of alarm failed to trigger the internal security. They had lived in comfort for far too long, having no idea what danger looked like.
Under Tiger's guidance, Ryan and the others arrived at the estate where Tiger had previously been imprisoned as a slave. As soon as they stepped inside, they happened to see a Celestial Dragon holding a whip, riding on the back of a slave as he headed out the door, seemingly preparing to take a stroll outside.
Upon seeing Ryan and his group, the Celestial Dragon first froze, and then cursed at them, "Whose slaves are you? How did you run into my house?"
When Tiger saw this Celestial Dragon, he lowered his head and trembled all over, as if a fear stemming from deep within his heart prevented him from looking the Celestial Dragon in the eye.
Seeing Tiger's reaction, Ryan roughly guessed that this Celestial Dragon was formerly Tiger's master.
Ryan knew this reaction of Tiger's stemmed from a psychological effect caused by long-term enslavement. Although Tiger had prepared himself to risk everything when they came, when he truly faced it, his body and psychological instincts drove him to behave this way.
"Tiger still needs to cross this hurdle by himself." Ryan turned his head and shook it at the people behind him, gesturing for them not to act rashly.
Meanwhile, Tiger had already snapped out of his previous state. Shame came first, followed immediately by fury—anger at why he had been so cowardly just now, and why he had lacked the courage to face it.
"I seem to remember you! You're that slave who escaped earlier!" the Celestial Dragon stared at Tiger and said, the whip in his hand lashing toward Tiger's body the very next moment.
Slap. The whip struck Tiger's face, leaving a clearly visible welt.
And Tiger's reaction seemed to displease the Celestial Dragon greatly.
"Why aren't you kneeling!" With that, another whip lashed out.
Tiger caught the incoming whip with one hand and roared at the Celestial Dragon, "Why should I kneel!"
"What right do you have to make me kneel!" With reddened eyes, Tiger stared fixedly at the Celestial Dragon, clenching his fists as he walked step by step toward him.
Seeing a slave defy his command for the very first time, the Celestial Dragon grew furious: "You lowly fish-man, how dare you defy me! I'll—"
Before he could finish, Tiger's fist landed squarely on his face, directly sending the Celestial Dragon flying backward. Then Tiger collapsed limply to the ground as if he had exhausted every ounce of strength in his body.
Yet everyone could see that Tiger had conquered himself and broken his inner demons.
"Congratulations, Tiger!"
Raising his head, Tiger saw Ryan smiling and extending a hand toward him.
"Thank you, Ryan!" Grasping Ryan's hand, Tiger slowly pulled himself up.
Looking at the Celestial Dragon shivering in the corner, Ryan suddenly had an interesting thought pop into his head: What would happen if this usually lofty Celestial Dragon were made a slave?
"Don't kill this guy yet, I have a use for him!" Ryan said, looking at Tiger, since this definitely required Tiger's consent.
"If you have a use for him, then we'll do as you say." If it were the old him, he definitely would have insisted on killing the wretch, but now, watching the trembling Celestial Dragon, Tiger really couldn't muster any interest, let alone when it was Ryan's request.
Ryan walked up to the Celestial Dragon, blocked only by the male slave kneeling at the Celestial Dragon's feet.
"Are you sure you want to stop me?"
The slave ultimately stepped aside. Blocking the Celestial Dragon just now had been a sheer instinctual reaction, but in his heart, he wanted the Celestial Dragon before him to die more than anyone else.
"You bastard! How dare you—"
Before he could finish speaking, the Celestial Dragon's head was stepped under Ryan's foot, his mouth unable to speak a single word and producing only muffled groans.
"Take off the chains and collar on your body, and put them on him," Ryan told the male slave from a moment ago.
Hearing this, the man trembled with excitement and hurriedly removed the iron chains and collar from himself, fastening them onto the Celestial Dragon pinned beneath Ryan's foot.
Ryan instructed the man, "When I come out, I want to see you train this Celestial Dragon into a qualified slave!"
"Don't you worry, milord, I'm good at this sort of thing!" the man chuckled with a grin.
Moments later, miserable screams echoed through the estate.
Ryan and the others also went inside to rescue the remaining slaves. The estate was massive, and it took them nearly ten minutes to free all 134 slaves held within. The majority of them were sturdy men and beautiful women, belonging to more than just a single species.
"Big Brother Tiger, where are we going next?" an excitedly rescued fish-man asked.
"Naturally, we're going to rescue more people. There are still many of our compatriots trapped inside."
When Ryan led the group back outside, he saw a figure scuttling swiftly to Ryan's feet and shouting, "Master!"
Ryan wore a blank expression. Is he really this fast?
Meanwhile, the newly rescued slaves widened their eyes in shock upon seeing the person kneeling on the ground, their jaws nearly dropping off.
They all knew the identity of the person now kneeling at Ryan's feet—he was none other than a Celestial Dragon, one of the World Nobles.
"How is that possible!" someone blurted out in disbelief.
The reality of a Celestial Dragon serving as a slave had completely shattered their worldview.
How long does it take to break a weak-willed Celestial Dragon into a slave? Ryan's personal experience told you it only took ten minutes.
