"Hahaha! I'm finally going to regain my freedom!" Catarina Devon looked at Teach walking slowly toward her. How could words possibly describe the excitement in her heart?

Freedom. After spending decades in this dark, sunless prison, she finally had a chance to see the sunlight outside again!

She seemed to have already seen the paradise outside—the bright sunlight, the wailing civilians, countless delicacies, and, of course, excruciating pain!

"You... bastard!" Catarina Devon stared blankly at the hand that had pierced through her abdomen. She slowly raised her head, only to meet Blackbeard's cold, disdainful smile!

"Thank you, Miss Catarina, for delivering me a Devil Fruit. Zehahaha! Thank you! This Devil Fruit is my sister's lifesaving medicine!" Teach grabbed the claw that Catarina Devon had swung with the last of her strength. Feeling her life force grow weaker and weaker, Teach chuckled before taking a large number of fruits out of Dark Space!

"What happened? Why... why are you doing this?" A criminal next to Catarina Devon noticed the strange turn of events. He was also a powerful pirate with a chance of competing for one of the ten golden spots. Upon seeing this scene, he began reconsidering everything once again!

A moment later, he let out a deep sigh.

So it had all been a conspiracy.

"Haha! I knew it. How could anyone truly want to save monsters like us and let us out? It was all for some ulterior purpose!"

Suppressing the disappointment deep in his heart, the criminal leaned against the wall and gradually fell asleep!

Warn the others? He had no obligation to do that! Besides, the bird that sticks its head out gets shot first. It would be terrible if the guy next door set his sights on him!

Was he afraid? No, no. Ever since
