The Sea King was enormous, a hundred meters wide and a thousand meters long, like a moving mountain. Thick scales covered its body, gleaming coldly. Each scale looked as tough as an impenetrable shield.
Its crimson eyes radiated endless malice and savagery. Anyone caught in its gaze would feel a chill to the bone.
As it swung its tail, seawater surged outward and formed a vast whirlpool, as though it would swallow everything. The surrounding sea churned into towering waves.
Its presence cast a dark, oppressive pall over the deep sea. Nothing else stirred. The Sea King's aura filled the waters, making it hard to breathe.
It was the ruler of this sea, and none dared challenge it.
To the Sea King, Swain's intrusion was a provocation from a human no bigger than an ant.
Roar!
It let out a frenzied roar and swam even faster.
Swain's heart tightened. This Sea King felt different from the ones he had encountered a thousand meters down. Those had taken little effort to kill.
Like ecological niches in a biosphere, each depth held different kinds of Sea Kings.
A few hundred meters down, a slight release of Haki from Swain had sent them fleeing in panic. At a thousand meters, he had needed to exert himself a little. But this creature, ten thousand meters below the surface, would take some real effort.
Within seconds, it shot above Swain like a bolt of lightning. Its enormous jaws gaped like a bottomless maw before snapping down.
"You beast!" Swain shouted.
A blue array encircled his right arm, resembling a mechanical bracer.
Bang!
His arm unleashed a mass of shock waves as he drove his fist straight into the Sea King's head like a cannonball.
A muffled impact sounded, and Swain hurtled backward in a straight
