You're No Longer Useful

The old man had every reason to suspect this was a brand-new way for Moyun to torment him.

"You're cheating!"

"I don't like the sound of that. What do you mean, cheating? You can't just decide I'm cheating because I'm that good."

Moyun sounded so confident that even the old man began to have doubts.

"You can use any power you want, as long as you don't make me dream!"

Moyun kept raising the stakes, hoping the old man would use something stronger against him.

The old man's face twisted into a vicious grin in midair. That suited him just fine. He had no intention of going easy on the brat.

"Is that so? You said it yourself. Don't expect any mercy from me."

The old man suddenly appeared. His eyes grew startlingly bright, and Moyun fixed his gaze on them.

"Everyone fears something. You're no exception. Let me see what terrifies you!"

Moyun frowned. He even started wondering what he might still be afraid of.

As far as he could tell, there was nothing.

The old man spread his arms, closed his eyes, and threw back his head with a long howl.

Purple smoke poured from his body in wave after wave, slowly gathering into a giant figure three meters tall.

The scene struck Moyun as familiar. It was as if he had fought this giant of purple smoke before. He dodged every one of its fierce attacks.

He even knew the monster was called a Nightmare, created from a person's fears.

"What is wrong with you?"

The old man was nearly in tears. What on earth was going on with Moyun?

Why could none of his attacks land? After only a few exchanges, Moyun had already seen through the Nightmare's weakness and struck straight at its heart.
