"Yes, Father." They had plenty of complaints, but they swallowed them all and answered Thanos calmly.
There was nothing they could do.
"I'll give you seven more days at most. Within a week, you must bring me the real Infinity Stones!" Thanos said coldly.
He had originally intended to give them only five days.
After all, he had long been itching to invade Earth.
But he had just caused a disruption himself.
With that in mind, Thanos decided to give them two extra days.
The moment he finished speaking, Ebony Maw's expression changed. His eyes widened in disbelief.
Displeased, Thanos looked at him. "Do you have a problem with what I said?"
His tone was stern.
So stern that the other five lowered their heads.
Ebony Maw alone remained frozen in shock, staring at Thanos until Thanos grew both awkward and irritated.
"Do you know who you're staring at?" Thanos finally roared.
The shout snapped Ebony Maw partway back to his senses.
"Father, something terrible has happened!" he cried.
Even Thanos flinched.
Ebony Maw might have been talkative, even long-winded, but he never panicked like this.
Few things could shock him.
As a great sorcerer, Ebony Maw had seen his share of upheaval.
"What are you shrieking about?" Perhaps because Ebony Maw had startled him, Thanos looked even more displeased.
He glared at Ebony Maw, his temper flaring.
Before he could continue berating him, Ebony Maw blurted out, "Father, Dormammu has left the Dark Dimension!"
