A tremendous explosion rang out.
The creatures had somehow climbed onto the aircraft, even though it was two hundred meters in the air!
But Black Panther had prepared for trouble. The moment he realized they had climbed aboard, he deployed a secret weapon he had kept in reserve.
It shocked every werewolf off the aircraft.
"What's going on?"
Ororo had only just gone inside to rest, but she still felt the aircraft shake with unusual violence.
As Black Panther steered the aircraft higher, he said worriedly,
"These werewolves have suddenly mutated. I don't know how!"
"Mutated?"
"I just finished dealing with those vampires in the air, and now the werewolves have mutated?"
Storm sounded incredulous.
Until now, Storm had mainly been clearing out airborne dark creatures like vampires.
Black Panther, T'Challa, had handled the dark creatures crawling along the ground.
Those ground-bound creatures had always been little more than targets.
After all, Black Panther had kept the aircraft two hundred meters up.
But now the werewolves could suddenly jump that high.
Did that mean the other monsters might mutate too?
At that thought, Storm began to understand.
She closed her eyes and carefully sensed the energy moving through the air around her.
In her energy vision, an enormous mass of lurid energy surrounded the sky.
Beneath it lay a wall of pure white light.
But the vast mass above was eroding that wall, slowly shrinking it.
Other energies leaked through gaps the wall could not repair in time.
It was only after those energies merged with the dark creatures that the creatures began to mutate!
The discovery left Storm close to despair.
She could do nothing to stop the flow of energy.
And it had all begun after that burst of thunder...
