Chapter 32: You Want to Learn? I'll Teach You 1/3
"Rimuru, you were so cool! How did you do that? Was it magical Chinese Kung Fu?"
All the way home, Peter Parker chattered nonstop, practically bursting with excitement.
Today had been the happiest day since he started school.
Not only had he taught that jerk Thompson a hard lesson, but he had also made a new friend.
Rimuru put on a mysterious air. "You want to learn? I'll teach you!"
Peter Parker immediately felt as though Lucky Star had fallen from the sky and struck him. His head spun. "Really? I can?"
"Of course!"
Rimuru nodded, the smile on his face becoming increasingly sly.
"Master!"
Peter Parker immediately called out as if they had known each other forever. He even performed a clumsy Apprenticeship Ceremony, nearly making Rimuru laugh himself over.
It seemed Little Peter was also a fake Chinese Kung Fu Fan!
Rimuru said seriously, "Peter, you know that if you want to become stronger, you have to pay a price. Just like if you want good grades, you need to study hard. Even if you're dying to go out and play, you can only endure it. Can you do that?"
Peter Parker nodded seriously. "Master, I want to be as strong as you. I never want to be bullied again!"
Rimuru nodded approvingly. "Forget about calling me Master. We're friends, after all. Calling me Master makes us sound too distant. As for becoming stronger, I have Four Paths here. Which one do you want to choose?"
Peter Parker was stunned. There were four paths to choose from?
"Can you explain them in detail?"
"Of course. The first path is called Physical Body Sanctification. This path is incredibly difficult and incredibly grueling, but once completed, it will also make you incredibly powerful!"
Physical Body Sanctification? What was that?
Peter Parker had no idea, but it sounded incredibly impressive!
"Can you explain it in detail?"
Rimuru said solemnly, "First, you need to do 100 Push-ups. It might seem like a simple movement, but doing 100 in a row fully demonstrates a person's strength. It can greatly train the strength of your arms and body. The hardest part isn't reaching 100—it's getting to 99. By then, you'll be so tired you'll want to die."
Gulp!
Little Peter swallowed hard. The path of Physical Body Sanctification really was difficult.
But when he thought about becoming as powerful as Rimuru in the future, Spidey was filled with motivation.
Wasn't it just 100 Push-ups? He could definitely do it!
"Second, do 100 Sit-ups every day. That will effectively train your abdominal muscles. Also, 100 Squats every day are essential. In the later stages of Squats, your legs will become more and more tired, to the point where they can barely support you. You'll reach the limits of your body."
"Lastly, you must keep running—10 Kilometers every day. Only by reaching that level of intensity can your body undergo a transformation."
10... kilometers?
Peter Parker was dumbfounded. His math had not been taught by a PE teacher; he was actually quite good at it.
With his skinny little body, could he really keep it up?
Seeing Spidey hesitate, Rimuru dealt another blow. "Is this all you'll amount to in the future? The hardest part of Physical Body Sanctification is Perseverance. One day, two days, ten days, one month, even one year won't show much result. You have to persist for a full three years, rain or shine, without fail. After keeping at it for three years, you'll discover..."
Rimuru paused at just the right moment and looked at Peter Parker's black hair.
Little Peter's scalp immediately went numb, but his intense desire for power kept him going.
"What will I discover?"
Rimuru placed his hands behind his back and said mysteriously, "You'll discover that you've gone bald... and become stronger!"
Pfft!
Bald... bald?
Little Peter touched his lovely hair, swallowed, and asked weakly, "Master, what about the second path?"
Rimuru chuckled. "The second path is called Pay to Win. You know Iron Man, right? He's an invincible Money Power User!"
Little Peter gave an awkward smile filled with poverty. "Let's talk about the third path instead!"
Rimuru said, "The third path is called Poor Rely on Mutation."
Poor Rely on Mutation?
Little Peter fell into thought. It sounded like it had potential!
"Can you explain it in detail?"
"You know that green monster that wreaked havoc in New York two years ago, right?"
Peter Parker's eyes lit up. "I do. I saw it online. The teacher told us it was an internet rumor and told us not to create rumors, believe rumors, or spread rumors. But we all knew it was real!"
"Why?" Rimuru asked curiously.
Peter Parker said, "A lot of houses were smashed up back then. Then the Police came, and the whole neighborhood was sealed off. What the Police said could only fool outsiders!"
Rimuru nodded. "Everyone calls that green monster the Hulk. He was accidentally exposed to a massive amount of Gamma Rays and mutated. Of course, you could also choose to get bitten by a Spider, Bat, Scorpion, Lizard, or something like that. Then you could gain all sorts of strange Superpowers. But whether you mutate successfully or get poisoned to death right away depends entirely on God's Will!"
Gulp!
Peter Parker despaired. How was he supposed to play this game?
The Hulk was far too ugly and stupid!
Besides, Peter Parker had been unlucky since childhood. If he really got bitten by a Spider or something, he would definitely die on the spot.
"What about the fourth path?"
Peter Parker hung his head in dejection. The difficulty of the first three paths had left him with little hope for the fourth.
"The fourth path..."
The smile on Rimuru's face became even slyer. "Wear Women's Clothing. Wear Women's Clothing and you'll become stronger!"
What?
Peter Parker's little mouth fell wide open. Had he heard that right?
What did it mean, wearing Women's Clothing would make him stronger?
"Rimuru, that isn't scientific. Whether it's men's clothes or Women's Clothing, they are essentially just clothes. They can't make someone stronger. Aunt May wears Women's Clothing, and she still needs Uncle Ben to protect her!"
???
This time, Rimuru was the one who was surprised. As expected of a genius, Peter Parker's scientific attainments were quite high!
He was only in elementary school, yet his thinking was already so meticulous.
Still, Rimuru was very much looking forward to the appearance of Spider-Girl.
How could he give up so easily?
Rimuru's expression turned stern as he said mysteriously, "Whether wearing Women's Clothing can make you stronger depends on your talent. In this world, 99.999% of humans do not possess that talent!"
In an instant, Peter Parker's little face turned red. Though he had not yet reached that embarrassing age, what child had never imagined that they were extraordinary, an all-powerful great hero or legendary champion?!
Thompson even liked playing Captain America with Peter!
"Rimuru, are you saying I have that talent?"
Rimuru did not answer. Instead, he asked, "Before I transferred into the class, who had the best grades?"
Peter Parker raised his little head proudly. "Me!"
Rimuru asked, "Who answered the teacher's questions the most?"
Peter Parker swallowed, seeming to sense something. "Also me!"
Rimuru asked, "Who often visited science exhibitions and knew many things from them that even middle school students didn't understand?"
Peter Parker's heart raced, and his throat went dry. "Still me!"
Rimuru placed both hands on Peter Parker's shoulders. "Peter, admit it. You possess a genius-level mind and talent! You're not some Bookworm Peter, much less that 'Insignificant Peter' Thompson calls you..."
"G-genius?!"
In that instant, Peter Parker even felt like crying.
Aside from his parents, whose memories had already become somewhat blurry, only Aunt May and Uncle Ben had ever praised him.
But Rimuru was the first person to call him a genius!
Peter Parker was still young and did not understand the grand principles behind a man would die for one who understood him, and a woman would dress up for one who appreciated her. But he felt that Rimuru was his best, best, best friend.
Rimuru was so powerful. She would never hurt him!
Feeling that the timing was right, Rimuru finally extended his demonic claws. "Peter, you yourself are a wealthy man. You're sitting on a massive gold mine, but you don't know how to develop or use it. Now, all you need is a key to open that gold mine. What do you think that key is?"
A strange flush appeared on Peter Parker's face as he answered shyly, "W-Women's Clothing?"
Rimuru said, "Bingo, correct! Peter, I knew I hadn't misjudged you. Your comprehension is truly first-rate. You're the kind of peerless genius that only appears once in ten thousand!"
Huh?
Little Peter's heart immediately started pounding. Could he really be a peerless genius, one in ten thousand?
Peter Parker suddenly felt that something had appeared in his heart!
Rimuru extended her hand toward Peter Parker in invitation. "A boy in Women's Clothing will eventually become king. Peter, wear Women's Clothing!"
Perhaps it was coincidence, but a ray of sunlight happened to shine upon Rimuru.
To Peter Parker's eyes, Rimuru seemed to be enveloped in Holy Light.
"So... so beautiful!"
Peter Parker's mind crashed. Slowly, he extended his little hand and slowly clasped Rimuru's!
