Several Air Bullets exploded around the Third Kazekage, and streams of Iron Sand began to gather.
The Third Kazekage leaped again and again to avoid the Tailed Beast's attacks. Now and then, Iron Sand gathered around him to block the shock waves from the exploding Air Bullets.
The slaughter continued nearby. The One-Tail kept aiming its attacks at clusters of Sand Shinobi.
Chiyo had rushed out of the Tent as soon as the Third Kazekage did.
At the sight of the Tailed Beast, Chiyo nearly lost control. Her brother Ebizo had died at a Tailed Beast's hands.
Chiyo specialized in Puppet Technique and poison. Against other Ninja, she could be formidable.
But against a Tailed Beast, she was out of her depth. She could barely find an opening.
Chiyo repeatedly dodged the One-Tail's attacks, occasionally throwing a few Explosive Kunai or controlling a Puppet to leave a tiny wound on it.
All that accomplished was making the One-Tail even more frenzied.
The One-Tail seemed to notice the irritating little insect at its feet. Its enormous tail swept across the ground.
Chiyo dodged lightly, but the Puppet she controlled was smashed to pieces.
Chiyo formed hand seals, and a massive Wind Blade took shape and slashed toward the One-Tail.
The One-Tail was frenzied, but its battle instincts remained sharp. It swung a huge claw and shattered the Wind Blade in an instant.
Only a few faint breezes drifted away.
Chiyo called out, her expression still fairly calm. "All squads, stay away from the Tailed Beast! Set up a Sealing Formation behind us and prepare to seal it. Don't fight it head-on!"
Hidden by Black Mist Invisibility, Fugaku stood quietly to one side. The One-Tail trampled through the Camp, killing many Ninja who had been too slow to retreat.
