Background and History

Wang Yue awakens as Fugaku with knowledge of the Uchiha clan’s possible extermination. The young Fugaku is Tenjo’s son, a Ninja Academy graduate, and already familiar with some covert intelligence. He resolves to use the coming war to secure a different future for the clan 1.

Promoted to jonin at thirteen, Fugaku undertakes reconnaissance in the Land of Rain. There he discovers that killing shinobi lets his eyes absorb Pupil Power. His subsequent missions establish him as a capable squad captain and a prominent Uchiha fighter 2 3 14 214.

Fugaku treats clan survival as an organizational problem as well as a military one. He helps clansmen awaken and develop their Sharingan, establishes a covert Assassination Team, and later reorganizes the Security Force into specialized departments. He succeeds Tenjo as clan head and directs the Uchiha’s growing influence within Konoha 242 461 561 619.

His later plans extend beyond the village. The Uchiha establish a lunar settlement, and Fugaku reveals to senior officials that he has been fighting among the stars. As head of an Ōtsutsuki branch family, he organizes an expedition to newly granted star systems; the clan subsequently begins settling another planet 783 837 839.

Personality

Fugaku is cautious about exposing his abilities, even after major increases in strength. He tests his Mangekyō outside Konoha, conceals its source during a duel, and warns newly awakened Mangekyō users against arrogance 58 76 619.

As a leader, he combines mentorship with covert manipulation. He prioritizes teamwork and reducing young shinobi casualties, but also uses staged genjutsu experiences to accelerate clansmen’s Sharingan awakenings and builds a unit willing to eliminate threats in secret 26 116 242 561. He argues that a responsible clan leader should not harm the village, just as a fair village leader should not suppress a clan 556.

Sharingan and genjutsu

• Uses the Sharingan to read movements, spot openings, and cast illusions for combat or interrogation 3 37 174.
• Can construct vivid, emotionally charged dream scenarios; he uses them to stimulate Sharingan awakenings in Fū and Kenichi 73 116.

• Black Mist Invisibility: His right eye makes him and anything covered by its mist transparent for up to five minutes. He can attack while hidden, but remains vulnerable if an opponent locates him 58.
• Susanoo: Manifests a black warrior with a cutting sword and a tomoe-shaped blast. Early use rapidly drains his chakra, stamina, and Pupil Power; later he can create Mini Complete Susanoo with Shadow Clones 58 610.

Ninjutsu and battlefield control

• Specializes in Fire Release and Sharingan genjutsu; his Fire Release training includes Great Fireball, Great Fire Dragon, and Majestic Destroyer Flame 14 40.
