On Konoha Back Mountain, Fugaku began looking for small animals to use in an experiment. He planned to use three animals for each test group.
One would be left alone, with nothing injected into it. Another would receive a cellular extract from White Zetsu Cells, and the last would receive Hashirama Cells.
He wanted to see just how potent pure Hashirama Cells were. His Sharingan swept through the forest, and he easily caught three hares and three piglets.
He tied up the six animals with rope. Black mist spread across his body, and in the blink of an eye, Fugaku and all six animals vanished.
Twenty minutes later, in the Laboratory, all six animals were in cages.
He took the Hashirama flesh out of the sealed Nutrient Tank, cut off a small piece, made it into a solution, and poured it into a Sealed Bottle.
Looking at the six lively animals, he flicked his Kunai across each one, leaving a wound. He gave one piglet and one hare a simple bandage.
He injected another hare and piglet with White Zetsu Cells, then injected a small amount of Hashirama Cells into the last two animals.
He returned them all to their cages and watched quietly. Time passed, and the first to react were the ones injected with Hashirama Cells.
Not long after the injections, the two animals began reacting violently. Their eyes turned red, and they slammed wildly against their cages.
Something seemed to writhe rapidly beneath their skin. The piglet squealed frantically, while the hare collapsed to the floor. The movement under its skin grew more violent.
Soon, a sapling burst through the hare's body and shot upward. Lightning flared in Fugaku's hand and spread over his Kunai in an instant.
A silver-white flash cut through the air. Fugaku severed
