The Scent-Tracking Bee flew through the sewer.
Behind it, Ma Xingjue wore his Mimicry Cloak and surveyed the sewer, quietly impressed.
"This guy's ruthless. I thought about building a shelter in a sewer myself, but I could never bring myself to do it."
"No wonder his shelter climbed the rankings so quickly. Anyone willing to go this far is no ordinary person."
Ma Xingjue respected Fish Abyss Shelter, but that only made him more determined to kill its owner.
The reason was simple: the more formidable his target, the greater the spoils.
Still, he grew more wary.
The Scent-Tracking Bee led Ma Xingjue through the sewer and soon stopped at a ladder. It flew into an opening above it.
Ma Xingjue hurried forward and looked up at the pitch-black opening, a sharp glint in his eyes.
"Found it!"
He did not enter immediately. He stood still and waited. A minute or two later, the Scent-Tracking Bee flew out, landed in his hand, and stopped moving.
Ma Xingjue checked the time on the Virtual Light Screen and made his estimate.
"One minute and forty seconds. The shelter must be somewhere between fifty and eighty meters inside."
"This guy really knows how to pick a spot!"
The thought made Ma Xingjue's blood stir.
"I hope you don't disappoint me!"
Now that he had confirmed Fish Abyss Shelter's location, he saw no reason to wait.
Ma Xingjue was certain his target would never imagine he had already found the shelter.
All he had to do was hide by the entrance. The moment his target opened the door, he would strike.
He had used this trick plenty of times.
He put away the Scent-Tracking Bee and climbed the ladder. Eager as he was, the veteran player moved with even greater care
