Hogg leaped down the street, pursuing his prey.
Suddenly, a strange scent of blood reached his nose, sharpening his senses.
"This... this smell..."
A sour, rotten note lurked beneath the stench.
Though it was his first time smelling it, Hogg felt as if a shackle deep in his bloodline had snapped. Instinct screamed at him to tear its source apart.
The revulsion came from his very soul, from his blood.
It was hatred that demanded one of them die.
At the same time, Hogg noticed the sharp fang pendant on his chest growing faintly warm.
A wonderfully soothing power surged through him again, rapidly restoring the strength he had just spent.
Hogg noticed the change in his body at once.
He ran faster.
As he pursued his prey, the bloody stench in the air grew stronger, its sour, rotten edge unmistakable.
"Found you."
The scent stirred the Wolf Clan's Wildness in Hogg's blood, bringing him a sensation unlike anything he had felt before.
He was about to transform.
Hogg could tell this transformation would be completely different from the ones before.
So he stopped suppressing his Wildness. He opened himself to it and embraced it fully.

A resounding wolf howl burst from Hogg's mouth.
"Come on! Let's see how strong I can become."
Intense heat surged from deep within his bones. His heart raced, and the veins beneath his skin throbbed. His sight and hearing sharpened as every nearby sound and scent grew vivid.
Crack!
Even as Hogg ran, his body made a sound that set teeth on edge. His spine stretched, and his already towering frame grew taller still, soon passing two meters and thirty centimeters.
Then his muscles swelled and thickened as though being pumped full of air, straining his clothes to bursting. Hogg seized his
