He and Simon were crouching in the Insect Breeding Room.
"What are you two doing? You look so absorbed."
Yu Yuan approached with a smile and saw Dai Le flash a toothy grin and chuckle.
"Boss, the mealworms have hatched!"
Pleasantly surprised, Yu Yuan immediately leaned closer, took the magnifying glass Dai Le handed him, and examined them.
Sure enough, the densely packed, tiny eggs had all hatched. Under the magnifying glass, little mealworms wriggled about.
Although Yu Yuan no longer lacked survival supplies, especially now that he had a Portal, which ensured he would never run short,
he still felt a special attachment to them as a key part of the ecosystem he had been cultivating and building since his humble beginnings.
Watching this new batch of mealworms hatch filled him with a sense of accomplishment.

Something occurred to Yu Yuan, and he paused.
"Dai Le, we need to revise our previous plan again. We've gained another source of grains in the other world, so perhaps we can expand the mealworm breeding operation further."
"Don't worry about the grains. Go all out. Although we no longer need to worry about food, rebuilding our food production lines will be inevitable as our civilization gains more followers.
"When that happens, the powder made from these dried mealworms will be an important source of protein and fat for us, so don't hold back!"
