The Deathwhisper Forest.
Every tree here stood over a thousand meters tall.
Everything was immense.
Here, even gold tier creatures were the most insignificant of beings.
A blood-red cheetah covered in barbs concealed itself behind a great tree.
Though it stood dozens of meters tall, it was still as tiny as a kitten within the Deathwhisper Forest.
But just as it was about to move, a vine crept silently behind it, then shot forward like a venomous snake poised to strike.
Before the cheetah could react, the vine had wrapped it up completely.
The cheetah tried to struggle, but that only made the vine tighten further.
On the great tree beside it, creatures as thick as an arm seemed to sense the prey below.
With a sucker at one end attached to the trunk, each extended the rest of its body outward.
They looked like tentacles sprouting from the trunk, eerie and terrifying.
These were the most terrifying killers in the Deathwhisper Forest.
Deathwhisper Leeches.
Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh—
The Deathwhisper Leeches bent their bodies like bows, then launched themselves onto the cheetah with unerring accuracy, their suckers immediately attaching to its skin.
In the blink of an eye, Deathwhisper Leeches covered the cheetah, thousands of them sucking its blood at once.
Roar—
The cheetah let out its final roar as its body visibly shriveled and collapsed.
In less than a minute, it had become a desiccated corpse.
The Deathwhisper Leeches that had just feasted underwent a new change as well.
The blood inside them shone with streaks of red light, then turned into tiny red motes that emerged from their bodies and flew toward the depths of the forest.
The same thing happened throughout the forest. Countless red motes finally gathered at a mire deep within the Deathwhisper Forest. They
