"The wind's strong outside. Put on your coat."
Shen Baili took the coat and wrapped herself up snugly. "Thanks, Eldest Brother."

Now that she was sick, all she wanted was her mother.
"Aunt Shen's flight is tonight. She should be home late," Xie Zhiyu said.
Shen Baili's foggy mind began to turn. Her mother had gone to the neighboring province for an opening ceremony. Had she rushed back as soon as she heard Shen Baili was sick?
"Little Butler Lin is picking her up. It'll be very late," Xie Zhiyu said. "I've asked your teacher for leave on your behalf. Stay home and rest tomorrow."
Shen Baili remembered why she had developed a fever. This time, she didn't try to tough it out. "Okay."
They left the Infirmary. The corridor was empty, their footsteps echoing through it.
The campus at night had a distinctly eerie air.
A chill ran down Shen Baili's neck. "Eldest Brother, did you get back today?"
"Weren't you away on business overseas?"
"I got back at noon," Xie Zhiyu said.
After getting home, he had slept off his jet lag. He had just reached the living room when he ran into Butler Lin, who was hurrying out.
When he heard Shen Baili had a fever, he took the packed change of clothes and drove straight to the school.
By the time he arrived, Shen Baili was fast asleep.
Perhaps she was too exhausted. She hadn't woken even when School Doctor Zhang wiped away her sweat and changed her clothes.
Xie Zhiyu pulled up a chair beside her bed and kept watch over her and the IV drip.
Shen Baili's friends came to see her while he was there. They came in quietly and only left after her fever broke.
