Russell looked at the tongue-twisting incantation and scratched his head.
Huihui had thoughtfully added all kinds of phonetic annotations above it so her illiterate boss could pronounce the spell correctly.
Still, he could transfer the magic within the talismans into his own body. That way, he could skip the process of pulling out talismans in the future and wouldn't have to worry about them being snatched away midway.
With that in mind, Russell laid out his talismans one by one.
The Horse Talisman that cured all ailments.
The Tiger Talisman that balanced yin and yang.
The Sheep Talisman that let the soul leave the body.
There was actually another Dragon Talisman responsible for construction work.
But without that thing, the construction site would probably shut down, so he obviously couldn't recall it.
Under Raven's gaze, as though she had seen a ghost, Russell began chanting the spell—then bit his tongue.
Damn it.
Why was this spell such a mouthful?
Refusing to believe it, Russell chanted it again, then bit his tongue again.
"I refuse to believe this."
Russell continued chanting. Sure enough, he bit his tongue again. This time his molars got it, and the pain was so sharp that tears nearly burst from his eyes.
Damn you.
"Can't these wizards invent some more normal spells?"
Russell was completely exasperated.
The spell had three sections, yet he had failed to finish even one before biting his tongue three times. If the Horse Talisman hadn't been here, his tongue would probably have been bitten to shreds.
"Um, do you need me to chant it for you?"
"Watching you bite your tongue over and over is heartbreaking."
To his utter surprise, a woman's voice came from within his body.
"Huh?"
Russell froze.
Wait.
There was another tenant living in his body?
Everyone,
