The Cat Spider had eight legs. When it had previously encountered the Rat Monsters' siege, one of them had been bitten off.
Although it could still run and jump with seven legs, the Cat Spider had remained listless. After reaching the Safe Zone, it became even more despondent. It lay in the corner, spinning layer upon layer of webbing and wrapping itself inside, as though it had sealed away its heart and cut itself off from the world.
Now that the Maze had been cleared, Feng Ling could not wait here forever. She untied the ropes around the Black Flood Dragon, rolled and bundled up the Cat Spider along with the webs around it, tied the bundle securely with rope, and dragged it outside.
Rat Monsters still lingered outside, but without the Black Flood Dragon drawing their attention, they were no longer crazed. A few scares from Ye Zheng sent them fleeing in panic.
Many small black birds perched on the rooftop and the streetlamps, packed together like flocks of sparrows.
But upon closer inspection, one could see that each bird had a tiny human head perched atop it, its facial features uncannily resembling the Smiling Buddha from before.
As Feng Ling walked forward, the little birds flew ahead.
When Feng Ling stopped, they stopped too, poking their heads around nearby.
Ye Zheng could not help glancing at them a few more times. Frowning, she asked Feng Ling, "What is this thing you hatched called?"
"I don't know." Feng Ling dragged the Cat Spider along as she replied. "Why don't you name it? The Card I used was Undead Raven."
Ye Zheng had no interest whatsoever in naming a Contaminant. With a cold expression, she replied, "You gave birth to it. Name it yourself."
"Then I'll call it Undead Raven,"
