Chapter 512: Speaking
The lizard corpses near the Suspension Bridge had vanished. The muddy sand along the shore was covered in winding, crisscrossing trenches—the Finger Eels had dragged the bodies into the water to feast on them.
After Xiao Shu reached the Suspension Bridge, his legs would not stop trembling.
It was not that he was particularly timid. He could easily chat and negotiate with vicious-looking Players, but whenever he followed Feng Ling, he could not help but tremble with fear, afraid he might lose his life.
Feng Ling said, "At the end of the Suspension Bridge is a large Lake Heart Island. There's a strangely shaped building in the middle of it. I need you to run straight over there, see what's inside, and preferably find some clues for dealing with the Abyss Boss."
Xiao Shu said pale-faced, "The Lizards on the island will tear me apart..."
"Run faster. The Lizards won't be able to catch you." Feng Ling glanced at him and said seriously, "Besides, don't you have me? I'll bring up the rear and draw their aggro, try to get all the Lizards to attack me."
Xiao Shu looked miserable. "What if there's a monster inside that building?"
"Then run," Feng Ling answered as if it were obvious.
Xiao Shu asked even more painfully, "What if I can't outrun it?"
Feng Ling thought for a moment, then took a Grenade from her waist pouch and handed it to Xiao Shu.
She always kept two Grenades in her pouch. She had used one to blow up Lizards earlier, so this was her last one.
"If you run into danger, throw the bomb. It can buy you time to escape." Feng Ling urged, "Go on. I'm watching."
Xiao Shu looked at the Grenade with complicated feelings. After a few
