Chapter 642: Spoils of War
Pashan was dazed by Yalana's blow and only came to his senses a few seconds later. "Mom! Can you stop hitting me all the time?!"
The sixteen-year-old boy had already grown taller than his mother. Yalana looked especially slight in front of Pashan, but her presence was formidable.

After venting her anger, Yalana was overcome with grief and began hugging Pashan as she cried. "Why did you kill someone? I taught you from childhood to be a good person, yet you actually killed someone! Murder is against the law, do you know that?! How could I have given birth to a beast like you? Sob sob sob..."
"I didn't kill anyone!" Pashan roared again.
The Inspector in charge of the interrogation sneered. "If you didn't kill anyone, where did your Card come from?"
"I picked it up, okay?! Who says picking up a Card is illegal?!" Pashan craned his neck as he defended himself.
"A patient in the ward next to yours said that you personally admitted to killing a nurse. Not only that, you encouraged the other patients to attack the nurses too. Is that true?" the Inspector continued.
"Saying it doesn't mean I did it. So what if I said it?!" Pashan replied stubbornly. But when he glanced over and saw Yalana looking at him with tear-filled eyes, his overbearing tone weakened. "...Bragging isn't against the law. Hmph."
