Feng Ling took the bread and immediately sensed something was off. Why had someone taken a bite out of it? And why was it smeared with mud?
She remembered.
This was the piece of bread she had thrown earlier when she smashed that fox.
Huangfu Miaomiao suddenly revealed a vicious expression!
Feng Ling looked down and saw Huangfu Miaomiao's face turn into that of a fox as it lunged straight for her neck!
Startled, she raised a hand to block it.
The fox pounced and bit down on her arm!
Feng Ling frowned. She drew a Fangs and Claws and clamped it around the fox's nape, forcibly lifting it into the air.
When she looked down at her arm again, there were two rows of bleeding tooth marks. She did not know whether to laugh or cry.
This fox was still too weak. Its bite was weaker than even a wild dog's.
Suspended in midair, the Fox Demon hissed and struggled. Feng Ling studied it closely and found that its lower jaw was slightly shorter than that of an ordinary fox, perhaps to better imitate a human face. Its bite force had likely suffered as a result.
In nature, foxes could only eat small mammals and insects. In this Maze, apart from using illusions to confuse people, they seemed to have no other abilities.
The sharp Bone Blade slashed cleanly through it, splitting the Fox Demon's body in two.
Its torso hit the ground, while its head dangled from the Fangs and Claws, blood trickling down.
Feng Ling shook the Fox Demon's head, then tossed it away as well. She flicked the blood droplets from her arm and continued onward as though nothing had happened.
Having learned her lesson, she now knew the Fox Demons could disguise themselves as Huangfu
