Chapter 64: Exceptionally Gifted
Su Yuqing had an excellent memory. He quickly recalled that Fang Ye was one of the people the team had rescued from the underground pit during the previous Jiangkou City operation.
Fang Ye had served a year for theft. After getting out of prison, unable to find work, he contacted his old shady friends. At their urging, they prepared their tools and snuck into a Parking Lot late at night to steal.
Unfortunately, they fell into a deep pit dug by Xenomorphs.
In fact, the garage owner had already been logged in by a Xenomorph. Guided by a Zone Quest, the Xenomorphs had formed a team and gone underground to subdue the Contaminant.
Su Yuqing guessed that those Xenomorphs had all been killed by the Contaminant. Fang Ye and his accomplices had somehow been used by the Contaminant and still survived in the end, which counted as rather good luck.
Su Yuqing was busy every day and did not meet just anyone, but Fang Ye's visit still caught his attention. He replied, "Have him go to the meeting room on the third floor first. I'll be there shortly."
"Okay."
Su Yuqing received Fang Ye in the meeting room with his assistant.
Fang Ye stood up awkwardly. His face was faintly flushed from barely contained excitement, and he looked positively radiant.
"Captain Su!" He shook Su Yuqing's hand.
Su Yuqing smiled and asked, "What can I do for you?"
Fang Ye smiled, seemingly embarrassed. "I want to join the Supervision Bureau. I don't know if that's possible."
"Join the Supervision Bureau?" Su Yuqing was slightly taken aback. "You mean you want to work here with me?"
"Yes..." Fang Ye nodded shyly, lowering his head as he said, "I think... uh... yesterday, I accidentally got a Card,
